Angel’s Story

Angel, a member of the family since she was a tiny puppy, was attacked by another dog and needed advanced emergency surgery. The family was beyond themselves with fear and sorrow. Angel was rushed into emergency surgery where her leg was amputated and her life saved.

“My newest great granddaughter learned to walk holding on to her back and side stepping. It broke my heart to see my granddaughter crying because we thought we were going to have to put her down. Thank you so much. You’ve answered my prayers.”

It is only through generous community support, that FCNMHP is able to assist pets like Angel.  And allow her to remain with her beloved family!

Rosie’s Recap

We are thrilled to announce that, with YOUR help, we exceeded our gift matching goal for our Rosie’s Fund! 

Through your investment, we are able to continue to provide free TNR surgeries for cats in our community.  Thank you.

Spay Day

On November 3, FCNMHP had the pleasure of hosting 20 University of Florida veterinary school students for an incredible teaching opportunity with our surgical team—our first FCNMHP Spay Day. 

Multiple staff and training DVMs were on site to provide in-depth instruction on best practices for high quality, high volume spay neuter surgery. The day was a huge success and we are excited to have had the opportunity to teach so many incredible students about all of the care that FCNMHP provides for our community.

Our 2025 Event Is Coming Up – Save the Date!

We are excited to announce that our 2025 event (formerly known as A Night Under the Stars) will be taking place on April 10 at Deerwood Castle!

Your support has been so incredible that we have decided to move our event to a venue where we can host even more of our incredible donors and supporters.

We look forward to seeing you at Whiskers and Wheels this spring!

Introducing Our New Chief Development Officer, Darby Stubberfield!

Darby Stubberfield joins our team after serving 16 years at Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida as their VP of Development. While at the Boys & Girls Club she proudly worked together with a team to create great futures for over 5,500 youth everyday throughout Northeast Florida.  

Darby has held leadership positions in the non-profit industry for many years, previously working at Aging True as their Development Director prior to joining Boys & Girls Club. She hopes to bring her leadership, experience and passion to First Coast No More Homeless Pets, working together with its board, staff, donors to make a difference in the lives of pets and their owners. Darby graduated from Jacksonville University with a Bachelors and Masters in Business Administration, she is a member and past President of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.  

She lives in Avondale and enjoys spending time with friends, traveling and cooking. While she is currently not a pet owner, she has a soft place in her heart for all animals, especially cats and dogs.
