Mega Pet Adoption SAVES 750 Lives

Mega Pet Adoption Event found homes for 750 homeless pets in one weekend!

First Coast No More Homeless Pets (FCNMHP) is proud to announce another successful Mega Pet Adoption Event. 7,257 people came out to with 750 dogs and cats being adopted. Many of which are harder to adopt pets, like one of our senior pets, Max, who was adopted from Animal Care & Protective Services on Saturday.

“I signed-up to volunteer with FCNMHP because I know how many people it takes to pull off a Mega Pet Adoption Event. They provide hundreds of volunteers to assist with the many details during this three-day weekend. I wasn’t thinking I would adopt, but when I saw Max, a 15 year old lab mix I knew he didn’t belong in a shelter to live out the rest of his life, however long that will be,†says Kathy, Mega Pet Adoption volunteer and adopter Kathy.

These Mega events are a major contributor in keeping Jacksonville’s no-kill status. Jacksonville has attained this difficult goal for almost two years now. Assisting other communities to save lives is of course extremely important too.
