What Kind of Planned Gifts do our Friends make?
- Most frequently, people leave a bequest in their will or trust. These bequests can be of a particular dollar amount or a percentage (or all) of their estate to help the animals in our care.
- Some make FCNMHP the beneficiary of part (or all) of their retirement plans. These are wonderfully tax effective ways to make a gift as a charity is not taxed on the distribution, unlike individual beneficiaries.
- An easy way to make a planned gift is a Beneficiary Designation. Donors have named us as the beneficiary of a life-insurance policy, a donor advised fund, or a bank or stock account.
