JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. – March 30, 2015 – Beaches Oktoberfest, LLC announces today its partnership with First Coast No More Homeless Pets (FCNMHP) for the upcoming Beaches Oktoberfest, scheduled for October 16-18, 2015 at the Jacksonville Beach City Walk Pavilion.
The first ever Beaches Oktoberfest was held last year, and brought in tens-of-thousands of people, including Oktoberfest fans from all over the country. The Festival was recognized around the country and made both local and national news. Those who attended were able to obtain a passport and “Drink around Germanyâ€, listen to great bands, participate in Oktoberfest games and win great prizes.
This year, there will be even more activities and attractions, including a greater German beer selection, more games and prizes, Oktoberfest merchandise and a pre-event concert on Friday night. In addition, the Partnership with FCNMHP will allow folks to adopt a pet on Saturday or Sunday and will include several activities and vendors relating to pet owners, or those looking to adopt. The much-anticipated Dogtoberfest event of FCNMHP will take place on Sunday during the Oktoberfest and will include a dog costume contest among other things.
Beaches Oktoberfest, LLC., was founded by Josh Woolsey, Keith Doherty, Phil Vogelsang and Charles Wagoner, with the purpose of creating a fun and authentic festival revolving around the world renowned themed Oktoberfest in Germany, providing Northeast Florida residents an opportunity to enjoy Jacksonville’s great weather and beaches and to raise money for local charities, including FCNMHP. The beaches festivals are always well attended and located in the perfect environment just steps from the Ocean. VIP tickets will go on sale soon and will be limited.
“Our first year hosting Beaches Oktoberfest was a huge success and we are hoping this trend continues. We are thrilled to be partnering with FCNMHP. This is a great opportunity for our community,†said Phil Vogelsang, Fraternal Order of Police General Council and Jacksonville Beach City Council Member.
“FCNMHP has been hosting Dogtoberfest for nine years and it has always been a successful and fun event, but to partner with such a large scale event is amazing. Dogtoberfest will be held on Sunday, however, all three days will be fantastic. As a non-profit we are always looking for ways to get our message out there and to raise funds,†says FCNMHP Development Director, Nicole Brose.
